Rub a Dub Dub

It was bath night for the boys. Damon loves showers, (since that all we have is a shower, but Keenan hates to sit in the shower. He also hates bath tubs. So while he's happy for now, until we move and have a bath tub, thought I would get some pics! I couldn't resist not putting them up. Their so cute!

Big Boy Quilt

Damon is getting a toddler bed when we move so it was only right for him, to get a big boy quilt for it. I'm excited to re-decorate their room in a not so baby way. More browns and khaki colors. Here's what the quilt looks like from a close up look.

Busy Easter Weekend

So it was a fun and eventful weekend. It was Juan's Birthday on Saturday so on Friday after his work, I picked him up and we went straight to Seth and Heathers house. We made dinner and watched enchanted. That was a cute movie, but that was not the plan for long, and Juan and Seth were playing the XBox 360. That was the main point to go there of course. They played until oh about midnight, which is a good time considering the last time we went, they played until like 5:30 in the morning. Juan had to go work with my dad on Saturday. They were building playground set and the person wanted it done before Easter. It was a stressful piece of work from what I hear. Heather and I decided to go shopping. We can really do some damage for shopping and always make a reason we "need" it. Actually, this time it was. I had been saving for a Bosch, so Saturday was the day!!! Ya whoo! I feel like a real housewife now. Its so fun. I can't wait to open it up and maybe make cookies in it today. We also went to Target and looked at Easter things, and just ended up getting diaper things. Not too much fun.

My other big purchase was, I have wanted a nice bed setup in our room. We have never had one. So I figured, while I have money now, and not poor yet, I'll buy one since Heather has a coupon for Bed, bath and Beyond. Oh its so cute! Its a 21 piece Bed-in-bag. This set they had it out on display on a bed and all set up! That was the one for sure! After doing all the damage on my wallet, we had to go leave and go have an Easter egg hunt at Heathers. That was fun. Tyson's kids were there along with mine and Seth's. But its not too fun to carry kids around and pick the eggs up for them. So they didn't get too many eggs.

We went out to dinner with his sister for Juan's birthday, and Seth and Heather decided they wanted us to stay again so they could play, so they watched our kids. Thanks Seth. It was so nice to relax a little and not have them. The plan was to go to church with them, but as we pulled in and parked, they signaled to us that Olivia had thrown up all over and they were going home. So we left also and went to our own church. That pretty much sums up our long weekend, other than coming home and catching up on Zzz that I lost. Hope everyone else had a fun weekend.

Quickly Moving!

So we found out yesterday that we got accepted to the Summer/Fall track at BYU-I! Yeah that's quick. Juan starts school on April 21st! Crazy I know. We gotta get everything ready and be gone in almost exactly 1 month. We found a house that we want to rent and all utilities come with it too. So that's excellent. Colby and Trisha are going to go over and check it out for us, and see if it's worth taking or not. Well keep you posted on our soon soon future!

Back to Beauty School

  1. Well I had thought about this for a little while now, and I'm gonna go back on Monday. Not for long at all, but an 8-5 for about 2- 2 1/2 weeks. Because I worked in a Salon for about 8 months, they will give me 100, so now I need to get 100 more hours so that i can be eligible for the Idaho state licence. I know that the tests are harder, but at least maybe I can renew all my learning and prepare myself again. It will be a good asset to have that way I can help bring in a little money while were at school. It should be fun, but its going to be hard to be away from the boys that long. At least it's going to be really temporary. And I won't be doing the learning thing all over again. I'll be up at the front desk, and in the dispensary(ughh), but better than doing all the work book stuff over again.

The BIG 23!

Well today was my birthday and my mom picked me up and we went to the mercantile to have lunch with Juan and my dad. It was fun to just go and have fun. My mom also made me a cake! Thanks mom! It was great! Thanks for all the phone calls everyone. Tyson, your out of the will. haha! Were going to have a BBQ this weekend with everyone so that should be fun also. We were all in hats today because the wind was so bad, it wasn't worth doing my hair. So I had to put the boys in hats too. They are two handsome boys if you ask me.

Sunday afternoon, sunny weather!

This afternoon was a beautiful day, so Juan and I decided to take the kids outside and enjoy the warm weather. it was still a bit to cold for the kids to go out without coats, because they have colds. But we couldn't let the day waste away and not enjoy it to an extent. We tried to start a fire in out fire pit, but it didn't work to well. I wanted to make smore's but I didn't have the chocolate either. Oh well. Maybe another day. And Keenan looks like my Little teletubbie. Oh so cute they are.

Damon and Keenan

Damon is already 2 and the months are flying by! For those of you who don't know much about him, he has Microcephaly(meaning small head) and Cerebral Palsy. Doctors are not sure what caused it, but I had low amniotic fluid my whole pregnancy and may have been a result of that. He has Physical therapy with a birth-3 teacher every Tuesday at the house, and then on Wednesday, he goes to Kadlec therapy services for Occupational Therapy, and every other Friday, we have Speech/Physical therapy at the mesa school district. I can't say that he keeps me on my toes but his therapy does. It's a slow process but he is getting there. Not sure if he'll ever walk or not, but when you see his little smile, all his problems seem to be so little. He's my little guy and I will forever to close to him! He's the cuddliest little boy and he sure knows that he's loved. You can see it in his face when he looks at us.

Keenan is already almost 6 months! It seems like I just had him. My how the time flies! Now this little boy is going to keep me on the toes! He's already almost there. He's sitting on his own now, and eating big boy food and can't get enough of it. He can hardly wait for the next spoonful. He's got a voice on him also and lets it be heard. He's such a funny little bugger, and has the biggest eyes you'll ever see. Especially when a flash goes off on a camera. Damon is absolutely in love with Keenan. If he's not laying by him or near him, he gets mad and arches towards Keenan. He just wants to be close to his little brother and adores him. The other day, I was feeding the boys separate things, and Damon didn't want what I was giving him, but he wanted what Keenan was having cause he opened right up for it! Now we have to feed them the same thing when they eat together. Its funny! Their little handfuls now but I keep thinking to myself, I want grand kids and big parties when I'm older like Grandma and Grandpa McGary so that gets me through!

Juan and Alise

Juan is currently in school at Columbia Basin College in Pasco. He has been working with my dad since about the middle of February after is building where he worked caught on fire, leaving him with no job. It has been a great experience for him and he's learning lots of new things that will benefit us in the long run. He finally got accepted to BYU-Idaho, but haven't found out which track he'll be on. We are so so excited to go, and can't wait for a change! We have never lived anywhere but our hometown for our whole lives! EXCITING!! I have been busy with the boys at home, or hardly ever home you could say. Days going to town for a quick trip are long over. With the boys and all the luggage they bring along, turns out to be a long and exhausting day. I always wanted twins and now I have them in a different sort of way that wasn't expected. I try and keep things organized and clean around the house on my daily routines, but it's just not as fast anymore to get done.
