Vicky and Juan's Sealing

Yesterday Juan and I had the opportunity to be Vicky and Juans escort as they went through the temple for the first time to take out their endowments and be sealed for time and all eternity! It was a really really special day! To have that baby girl of their be born into the covenant is really cool! Vicky wore her moms dress that she was sealed to when they went to the temple. We are so so incredible proud of the choices and changes they have made over the past year. You can tell they have made some great changes in their life and it shows in their faces. They looked so happy and they have such a great support system around them! I am so happy to be here with them and experience every step of the way with them!

 

 

Halloween

We had a lot of  fun this Halloween! Last year Juan stayed home with Damon and handed out candy but this year we all went! We set out a bowl on our front porch and off we went! Before Juan got home from work, I took the boys around to our neighbors houses. Then we packed in the van and headed to our friends house, Eric and Kimberly, where we would be trick or treating in their neighborhood. Juan stayed with Damon at their house huddled around a fire pit and handing out candy while I took the others with Kimberly and her kids. It was like scenes out of a movie with over 500 kids running around! It was crazy! We were out for over 3 hours! It was so much fun!

 

The Sunday before, Vicky and Juan came over and we had dinner and carved pumpkins!

 

 

I have had so many thoughts in my head that I want to get down. I don't write near as much as I used to and I need to get better. I feel as if my kids life is changing and they arr growing up right before my eyes. As much as I say all the time that I can't wait for the next stage, it seems that ita right around the corner and I'm going to forget what just happened. I see them learning new things daily and bring examples to those around them!. Keenan had a couple neighbor kids over a couple weeks ago and we were eating dinner with them. One of them wanted to say the prayer but didn't know how. So keenan stepped up and helped him say it. I couldn't be any prouder at that moment as a mom. As much as I am doing wrong atleast I am teaching them about praying l. I always notice that keenan gets very sincere when saying his prayers. We had a moment with him that he wasn't liking his brothet Damon. That killed me as a mom because he told his teacher he had one brother. Since that day he has made sure to include Damon and tell me he loves him and to make sure I know that's his brother. I hope he had a learning moment. I take keenan to school everyday and this one day he saw his friends get off the bus and he was so excited! He was hitting on the window in the van to get thier attention but they couldn't hear him. He bolted out the door and ran to them. The pure excitement to see his friends and then they got excited waa such a fun thing to see. That boy makes me so happy!
A friend of mine and I went to hangout at starbucks on monday evening for an hour to chit chat. We talk about all our mom flaws, kids annoying us, hard times, and everything inbetween. We were talking about our kids and how she kinda felt a closer relationship with her younger too. II have been so fortunate to have an amazing relationship with each one of our kids. Damon and I have been through a lot and have a special bond. Keenan came into our life and brought such a new opportunity that we don't get with Damon. I spent almost 4 years doting on him when we had Niko. Now Niko and I get our time alone every day! I love my kids to pieces and am so grateful for the spirit they bring into our life! 

Great Wolf Lodge

We had such a great time at Great Wolf Lodge! Now that we have lived here a couple years, I knew there was a huge group, as in about 100 families that take advantage of a group rate and all go up on the same day. I have wanted to go that last two times, but the first year we had missed the sign up and were too late, last year we had just bought, so this was our year this year! I thought we had missed out again but while we were camping my friend Kimberly called me up and said there were a few places left! So I got right on the phone and made our reservations! That was back in August! So we had been anxiously awaiting it! I was a little nervous and worried how we would all do. How Damon would do when he saw the water, how my stress levels were going to be, because I sure do seem to get stressed in these kinds of situations. Well everything went so well!! There are lots of lifeguards just on the prowl! And it was just a relaxing and enjoyable time spent with some great friends and our family. Great wolf is such a fun place for kids! But by the second day, we were all worn out and Keenan was asking to go home!  WE cant wait to go back next year!
