Girls Weekend

These are all out of order but I can't fix them. This last weekend my mom, sister and I had a girls weekend. And it was tiring! So much fun though! My time started out a little early and I caught a ride with someone heading down to Provo and we left Thursday afternoon. I arrived at my sisters house at about 5ish and then the party started! We started out by doing my sisters hair that night.

We picked up my mom at the airport on Friday about 9 and we were riding in style! We ditched the mom van and went in my brother-in-laws BMW. It was fun to be able to have that option. Although we could have used the room with all the shopping we did.

Mom treated us to Ihop before heading up to Park City to the outlet malls. I wish we could have that option closer to us! Good stores for sure! We spent all day there and ours bags showed it!

When we were shopped out for the day, we headed to cheesecake factory. Yummyness! Although my meal didn't please me too much but the avacado egg rolls and bread was a hit with me! We hit up the dollar theatre and went and saw the 3rd Narnia movie which actually wasn't too bad. I really dread going to the theatre unless I'm watching a chick flick or something. I just hate sitting for so long.

We headed to a hotel over by the airport and indulged in a pice of cheesecake together! Heavenly!

The next day was spent again shopping pretty much all day. Or atleast on our feet. About two weeks before going down, I heard about a class that was being taught at the Hobby Lobby in Sandy where they make these awesome pictures of a temple of your choice. It was a super good deal considering what we would have got at Deseret book is $175! No thanks! So for the first three hours on Saturday we enjoyed crafting with a bunch of people making our temple pictures.

We met up with my cousin after that and went across the street to Cafe Rio. Never dissapoints thats for sure! Then it was off to the mall for yet some MORE shopping. I was pretty much done at this point but I did find a pair of shorts and a couple shirts. Can I not tell you enough how much I kinda hate motherhood? If it had not been for the skirts I found at motherhood at the outlets I would have given up on that store! And no my clothes I bought on Saturday are not maternity but look like it. I got them at Vanity. I love that store! Pregnant or not! Just get me a large nowadays and I'm good to go! Super cute stuff!

We ended out weekend by getting a couple pizzas at Papa Murpheys and headed home. I'm not a big nap taker and I ended up taking a 2 hour nap on the couch! The pictures show how exhausted I am by the end of the weekend!

I headed home on Sunday afternoon and I was so ready to see my boys!

Juan was an amazing dad the whole weekend! He never complained and would text me all the fun they were having. I wanted to document a few things he sent to me that I thought would be worth saving for and fun to look back on later on.

* Before I left, the Relief Society president came over to give me an invitaion for a thing on Saturday. I told her was going on a girls weekend and I wouldn't be there. She said to Juan, so you get to babysit all weekend huh? He responded and said no I'm being a dad. Seriously a good answer!

These are txts from Juan while I was away
* So keen served two bowls of two squares of ghram crackers to himself and gave me a bowl with two and said "like Keenan" and pointed at his bowl. He's so funny.
*Love how damon lets me actually brush his teeth it's funny.
*So I was getting ready to put the train togther and Damon got so excited he threw up all over
*Keen woke up super hungry and he ate like two and half bowls of apple jacks
* So Keenan had ro go potty and i walk in there and he's on the pot reading game informer magazine. haha

Juan was such a good sport about me going out of town and taking everything on! The house was clean, dishes done, beds made! What a guy! I love you!

26 years young

When I was in high school and even after, I would look up to the 26 year olds and think man they are old! They are almost 30! And here I am! Feeling great! If I had known this back then I would be excited for this age! But nevertheless I had a great birthday! I went to lunch with the kids with a couple of my friends, then Mandy (my friend that we live in their basement) took my kids for the rest of the day! It was so great! Juan and I went to my Dr. appt then we went and watched Just Go With it, which is hilarious by the way, then met up with another couple for dinner at Olive Garden! Such a fun day! And I can say Im a different age then Juan for 11 days! I didn't get any presents or anything because my birthday weekend is going to be my girls weekend with my mom and sister in Utah! So excited for that!

Therapy Walking

So some know that my cousin Trent is Damon's physical therapist so he has been working on getting Damon to walk. He even was able to get Damon approved for a walker so within the next week he should have his very own walker! We are so excited for this next step in his life! I never would have thought that we would be going this way! Its all so very new and very exciting!

This isn't what his walker looks like. He will have an actual looking walker that has places for his hands, wheels, and a support for his trunk!

No Better Brother

I don't think that Damon could have a better brother than Keenan. It's gotta be hard to not really play with your big brother or run around with him. But at the same time, thats all he knows. With that being said, I think Keenan is a special brother for Damon. He doesn't know the role he's going to have to play for Damon. Just a few instances...

Saturday I asked Keenan to put the blanket on Damon. He didn't just throw it on him, but he made sure it laid on him nicely and then tucked it around his neck area and patted him.

Yesterday Damon threw up, (nothing new, happens everyday) and so Keenan got a rag and helped clean him up without being asked then grabs his toy and starts to clean it up.

There are so many other times that he has done something but I wanted to remember the little boy that helped his brother and loved him. Maybe a friendly reminder when he's older.
