Damon has been kickin' and rollin' over like crazy lately! Its so fun because I will leave for a bit, and then come back and he's closer to what he wants to play with. The fan was going today and he just thinks its great to go over and stick his fingers through the holes, and he made it over there twice! Im so proud of him! He is making progress everyday! During Juan's break, Damon's PT, also my cousin, are gonna make him a walker. I can't wait to see how it turns out and I think it will give Damon a little more mobility.

This weekend was a lot more eventful then last weekend to say the least! We started out with a hike to Cress Creek. We went with Colby and Trisha's family, and it was a lot of fun. For some of it, it is handicap accesible which is why we went there, but then it goes to gravel, and then lots of uphill! Let me tell you it was a lot of work pushing to boys' jogging stroller up those hills, but it was good! We took up a picnic lunch that we ate before we came all the way down, and we let the boys play in the little running water that was flowing! They loved it, except Keenan, he's not a big fan of cold water. When we got home, I scheduled an appt. to get my hair cut, and I love it! My hair grows so fast, I made sure we cut plenty off and thinned it! We Also went to a Demolition Derby that was so convienielty located across the street from our apartment at the fairgrounds. It was so packed and hot! But we were able to get under the covered area, but it was still blazing! Talk about loud cars, smelly, and an awesome atmosphere! Loved it! I was a little worried about Damon with the loud noise, but he did great! They both really loved watching the cars, and Damon would get excited when they would come out! It made Juan and I want to be involved in one of those some day! I know were crazy but thats us!

My Grandma McGary gave me this poem when Damon was just a few months old. I have been thinking about it a lot lately, and it has given me sort of a comfort. I hope you all like it as much as I do.
HEAVEN'S VERY SPECIAL CHILD
A meeting was held quite far from Earth
It was time again for another birth.
Said the Angels to the Lord above –
“This special child will need much love.
“Her progress may be very slow
“Accomplishment she may not show.
“And she'll require extra care
“From the folks she meets down there.
“She may not run or laugh or play
“Her thoughts may seem quite far away
“So many times she will be labeled
“'different,' 'helpless' and disabled.
“So, let's be careful where she's sent.
“We want her life to be content.
“Please, Lord, find the parents who
“Will do a special job for you.
“They will not realize right away
“The leading role they are asked to play.
“But with this child sent from above
“Comes stronger faith, and richer love.
“And soon they'll know the privilege given
“In caring for their gift from heaven.
“Their precious charge, so meek and mild
“Is heaven's very special child.”

Uneventful 4th
Thursday night we headed up to Green Canyon to go camping. I was a little bit irritated because I wanted to leave earlier then about 6:30, but all was well, we made it up there, set up camp, and went swimming in the hot springs swimming pool there. It looks like a total white trash place, but I have to admit the camping was fun! We left at about 10 ish the next morning, and then just relaxed all afternoon. Poor Damon, I can never seem to get mosquito repellent on him fast enough, he about gets eaten alive! And he's somewhat allergic to them because he wakes up the next day and they are all swollen.

This is our new tent we bought and this was our first time using it! It was great and very spacey inside. There is also another side on the right you just cant see it! And don't I just look lovely!
Hangin' out by the fire with us all. Our friends Carly, Kevin, Damon, Keenan, Juan and I. Damon just wanted to be in the fire, and would whine until we finally had enough and off to bed he went!
I've decided that I'm not a big fan of Holidays away from home! I think that every year for the holidays I'm going home! We'll see if it happens but anyways. We had a pretty uneventful 4th of July to say the least. I'm so used to the fun parade with Eric Benson MCing it, enjoying a BBQ with friends and family, and maybe hitting up scootney! Oh the memories of home, because that what they did exactly, all the meanwhile we went to Rexburgs lame parade, followed by a lame nap, had a BBQ with a neighbor, (I have to admit that was fun), followed by lame fireworks! I also woke up on Sunday with the 24 hour flu! That was pretty much the weekend!
