Yet another...

Well #2 has come and gone. (that we know of) A seizure that is. After putting him down for naps, I laid him on the couch and went to finish my cookies I was making. I look over and see his leg shaking, so I go over there and he is having convulsions with his eyes open, looking to the left side. He was quivering and breathing hard. with lots of slobber coming out of his mouth. It just kills me to not be able to help him in any way possible, just sit there by his side and make sure it doesn't happen for longer then 5 minutes. If it does happen longer then 5 minutes, then we are to insert a med rectally and that, I cannot do to him! This lasted about a minute, but feels like forever! You never know when its going to end, what you will have to do next. After it was over, he was so lethargic again, and got pale. I don't know why he got pale, but he was ready for a nap after. So he is out of it at the moment, sleeping, resting from this tremendous thing that happens to his body. I hate it when this happens, and I hate not being able to do anything! I know with out a shadow of a doubt, Damon was sent here us for a reason. I will stay strong for him, and help him however way possible. We don't know how long we have with him, may to short, may be long, but I do know that he will be made perfect one day and that day I cannot wait for! I can't wait to be able to see him run and walk and do things boys should do! Kicking a ball, playing with cars, wrestling with his brother. Until that day.... I love you Damon!

Salt Lake

Damon had a few appointments in Salt Lake this last week, so we headed down on Tuesday afternoon. It was a fun little getaway with just the kids and I but we sure did miss our daddy and husband!

Tuesday night Kira and David came down with the kids and we all went swimming at our Hotel. We stayed at the Radisson downtown, just a couple blocks from temple square. We didn't go walk around but it was a pretty view! That night we ordered pizza, and just hung out!

Wednesday Damon had his first appt. with a special care dr, Dr. Murphy. I swear every dr. we have had at Primary Children's has been awesome! She spent an hour with us, discussing different things, medications he's on, talking about his tone, tightness, and all around health! Good news! he's gaining weight! He is now weighing in at about 27 lbs! About 8 months ago, we was about 25 lbs! Slowly but surely! He didnt grow, so his BMI looks even better! Although... it is hard to get an accuarate height on him, because he is so tight.

After the appts were done, I was able to come back to the hotel and run, but its just so hard to run with kids there! But I did an ok run, and then spent the rest of my day hanging out and catching up with friends!

This has nothing to do with Utah but I just thought it was so cute! Damon got to learn how pizza was made at school and this is his hat!

The view
Exhausted!

Kira and I spent all day Thursday crafting it up! Boy did we have so much more planned then we did, but it was great! Here we are cutting out our letters. She was doing luck with 3 shamrocks and I was doing family! Luck is on my to-do list next! I think its amazing that were sisters, and we are built so different! She got the skinny jeans and I got a "little more to love" as I like to put it!

Kira's TV doesnt work anymore, so I brought in the kids DVD players from my car. Isn't this just so cute? All cuddled around trying to watch!

Friday was my last appt before I came home and we have scheduled surgery for Damon March 23 to have his tendons cut on his hamstrings and adductors on his legs. because he has so much tone and tightness, its pulling his hip out of socket, on his right side, and therefore his left long his longer! Crazy how everything works, but he will be in surgery for about 1 1/2 hours then they will keep him overnight because they usually get spastic. He will then be in a cast for 3 weeks, in an "A" shape, and then for another 2 weeks at night. So hopefully this wont happen again. But his Orthopedist did say that he will have to have another surgery later on, that is more complex, so this is just to prolong that.
It was so nice to come home and have a clean house, with little notes from Juan!

Best Valentines date ever...period!

Amazing! It has been about 5 years since we have been up to the mountain snowboarding! And where I grew up doing this, that is just WAY too long! The weather was great, snow was great, and our time together was great! I couldn't of asked for a better Valentines day! Our friends Trevor and Whitney watched the boys for us, and then Whitney and I had coordinated to have a candlelight dinner for us when we arrived home! It was a perfect day and it was so much fun! We now hope to go another time before the end of the season, but night skiing! And it makes it great that its only about 45 minutes away! So worth it!

Hangin out

Sometimes being a brother is better then being a superhero

This is what is so perfect about having 2 kids, and brothers. Seeing the love that Keenan has for his older brother, but in reality, Keenan is the bigger brother! I love these boys more then words can say, and even though they drive me crazy some days, it's times like these that make you take a step back and just realize what a blessing they are in my life!

Our typical nights during the week

Juan doing homework...always
damon playing on the couch or on the floor...

Keenan playing in his room...

And me cleaning...yes I always have to clean every night! i can't go to sleep with a messy house

Being Crafty

I've been dying to do something crafty lately, and I have really been wanting to do this for a long time! Thanks for the Idea Heather! Except she used canvas, and I didn't want to go out anf buy something I didnt really have to. So I used wood that my dad gave us with our present from Christmas, cut them down, and gorilla glued them together! Perfect size!

All Glued together!

A little out of order, but then I sanded everything with my palm sander, painted the back and sides black, coordinating with all my decor of course!

Modge Podged coordinating paper, modge podged again, and glued the medal on them! I love them and can't wait to put them on my wall on the sides of my TV! LOVE LOVE LOVE a cheap deal!

Keeping busy in the Winter Months

We have defenitly been keeping busy during these cold days, but it has been so much fun! Most days start out with either pre school or therapy, working out, then getting things done around the house. We have been trying to get play time in outside when its not too cold, and the boys love love LOVE sledding! We have a small little hit that the parking lots are cleared into, so we have been taking them on it. They think its just the greatest! Damon loves it the most, and as soon as were down the hill, he wants to go right back up and sled! If he's being pulled in the sled, he's ok, but as soon as you stop, he's not happy.

Juan hasn't really had the opportunity to play with us much outside because of school and work, but next week we are going snowboarding all day! Just the two of us, no kids! I don't know when the last time we went somewhere all day with no kids. I dont think it has happened ever! So needless to say I am stoked!

Keenan saw the other kids going sledding, so he took it upon himseld to grab a sled and start heading that way
The boys have loved having us to play with

Some of Keenans friends by us, made him his own chair!

Getting pulled in the sled. We figured out this makes great tummy time, cause he wants to see where he is going, and if his head does go down, he's in the snow!

Such nice brothers together. Keenan has a mouth full of snow

Keenan loves to read Juans "reading material"

A sneak peak at the flyers for my fun run in May. Things have changed a little since this was taken

Damon nearing the end of his pool therapy with my cousin Trent.

Funny boy!
