Ward Family Skate Night

A few weeks back our ward had a skate party at Hillsboro Skate World. I think there were three wards combined that joined but it was private for two hours and it was awesome because we could take strollers out on the rink so it made it so even the adults with babies could go out. All fun and games until someone gets hurt. They started playing red light green light and that ended real quick cause a guy hit his head and broke his collar bone and blacked out. We headed out right after that and went shopping before the stores closed then hit up Sonic on the way home. It was a fun night and something I usually don't do so it was great to do this as a family.

Here is our family along with Vicky (Juans sister) and Juan (her boyfriend, I know we have two Juans now ) and Juan's little brother Eric. Hope that doesnt confuse you!

He was so chill the whole time and was loving it!
Damon was a little nervous about the whole lights and going fast in his stroller. I thought his wheels were going to come off. Keenan lasted about a half time around and then he was done. He went and hung out with Eric who also made it about the same. Skating just isnt there game right now. It made me get so excited to get roller blades and get out when its nice with the boys in the jogging stroller so I went to Goodwill a few days later and got me some good roller blades! love finding good deals like that!

Buddys

These boys do EVERYTHING together! They follow each other around all day long. I love having them entertain each other.
Keenan was jumping around on the couches and Niko was trying to figure out how he can get up and do that. He's already crawling away fast when I have his diaper off trying to get away and then pulling up on the couch and walking along it. Not to long and little man will be walking!

It has been so much fun to watch these boys interact and play together so well! I love watching them interact and learn from each other. Not a day goes by that Keenan doesn't wake up and ask, Where's Niko? These boys are going to be best friends!
Keenan thought that it would be fun to keep pulling Damon off the couch and finally Damon landed on him, and I heard from the other room in a muffled voice, "mom help me, Damon on me"
I cam into this and thought it was GREAT!
Taking turns pushing each other. And they are starting to look more and more like each other!

Keenan is into the wierd smiling lately. I can't get a good one when I say smile

Party Hardy!

Wow this last weekend has been exhausting! I don't think I have had this great of a birthday since who knows when! We had a girls beach retreat for Relief Society that just so happened to fall on my birthday weekend. So it was broken down like this...
Friday- Super busy day! I was up at the usual time of 6am to get Damon up and his feeds started and then he was off onto the bus at 7 am. I got the other boys ready and we had to go get groceries since we didn't have anything for Juan for the weekend. I then went to my friends Carolyn's house after to hang with her and to make my treat for the beach retreat. I made little individual fruit pizzas. Got home cleaned the house, groceries put away, and then off to get Damons new wheelchair. Bum deal.... The wheelchair fits him well NOW, but in 6 months or a year, he will have outgrown it. Not sure what happened there because he was fitted for it in Decemeber and he didn't grow that much. So waste of driving into Portland. Picked up Vicky on my way back at her workm rushed home and grabbed our bags then headed to meet our carpool. Seriously the best van driven, a 15 passenger van, an Emergency Dental van.., yah pretty awesome. I think that the drive there was the most fun
We arrived in Lincoln city at the beach house at about 8:30 and then we played a short game then headed into the theatre room for a short program. We stayed up chit chatting, getting to know more people, and playing games. Namely: Snort ( a game where you snort next to the person to you, and no one can make a sound or they are out) and the In the Manner of the Adverb (so you choose a world like sillily, and you send a person out of the room while you choose, they come back in, and they go around asking someone to act out in the manner of the adverb, and ask something like dance in the manner of the adverb so you have to dance "sillily"
everyone went to bed at different times but I headed up at about 12:30. I still haven't really recovered from no sleep.
Saturday we had breakfast and then just hung out until noon when we had to pack up and leave. We went to the outlets there in Lincoln City for a couple hours. That was fun and I got some great deals for Juan and the kids. We got home about 5:15 and then we left for dinner at 6:30. We ended up going to Outback because we didn't have a reservation at Brazil Grill and they couldn't get us in. BUt it all worked out great and we were treated like royalty at Outback. We were given a free bloomin onion and cheesy fries and then I was given a cheesecake with a candle, chocholate covered strawberry, and ice cream all in a little to go box!
Actual Birthday-
Sunday was my actual birthday and I was crabby from the morning starting. Juan didn't tell me Happy Birthday and I was bitter because he said he would make me breakfast but didn't, and that was the same case last year. So i was annoyed and he didn't get me anything and I thought that was a bum deal. I understood not giving each other anything the past years because we were in school and didn't have the extra money, thats fine. But c'mon he has a job now and he can get me something.
So I was complaining to him all day, and he kept his cool. He said let's go over to Vickys so we went, and by this time, I was asking him what did you tell Vicky whats going on. Then as we were walking over to her house, I told Juan I recognize three vans here, what is going on. So we walk in and suprise my awesome friends were there, presents on the table, and a cake was brought out. They had decorated her apartment and it was perfect. He did well on keeping a secret even though i was being mean. But I was so glad he didn't tell me anything because I like suprises. He did well though and got me a Nike+ for my shoes for running and then a coat to match my boots. He did very well! I was so happy at the end of the night.
