Choc-o-latte has returned!

The boys have loved waking up every morning to see where little Choc-o-latte has moved to! Although most days I forget to move him so it's a good thing I wake up before them! A quick move and we're good! We're running out of spots to put him. Having the cat has changed things a bit so we don't want him low where he will touch him.

Thanksgiving

Once again we entertained ourselves this past Thanksgiving. We invites Vicky and Juan and David and Melissa. We had a fabulous meal that took far to long to make but in the end was worth it- even if the rolls didn't have salt. I may or may not have forgot it. But between making a turkey, stuffing, appetizers, potatoes and gravy, salad, the rolls got forgotten the salt! All was well just add a little salted butter and they were half way ok. My back was killing me that night from standing all day cooking. I also had started cooking the day before so I was exhausted and full. A combination with being pregnant was a bit miserable.  We enjoyed the company and I didn't feel like we missed out on anything with family!

Oh Christmas tree Oh Christmas Tree

I debated on whether or not to put up a tree this year. We are spending the holidays at my parents house and where we had the tree last year our computer is now there. We don't have any great corners or windows to put up a tree for all to be seen! In our first apartment when we moved to Oregon we put up a half tree in a corner since we have always had fake trees. I figured for the kids sake we better put up a tree! So in our dining room it went, half tree. The boys loved helping put on the decorations. Niko put them all in the same spot and Keenan was particular where he put them. Damon loves to play with the tree and the ornaments and so usually he's cranky when he gets home from school because he wants to be right near the tree but then isn't happy then because he doesn't have the "right" ornament near him or in his grasp. The struggle is real here! I'm not a sentimental person and don't hold on to things ever but as Keenan was pulling out little paper decorations the boys had made from school and seeing how old they were, with a picture of them placed in the middle with glue and glitter surrounding them, it made me happy that these things were kept. I don't remember keeping them is the funny thing. Now that we have a cat it climbs the tree and pushes down the branches so it looks bare, unplugs the lights, messes with the ornaments, I just gave up on a pretty looking tree. Damon has even pulled the tree over on him while sitting in his wheelchair by it. We had presents under the tree until "Donel" our cat started opening them. I have seen people put a tree upside down on the ceiling to prevent the animals from getting them. Tempting... tempting...
