Make A Wish trip

We are getting so excited for our Make a Wish Trip! Nervous but so excited! Only about a month away! We leave the day after Thanksgiving, (Friday) and return the following Thursday nigght! I have heard so many great things about the trip, where were staying, and so much more! We have a wish party in a couple weeks that we are having at Johns Incredible Pizza with family where they officially give Damon his wish! It all seems surreal and I feel a bit guilty we get to di this but so incredibly blessed at the same time!

Damons room

I had quite the motivation for a project room. Damons room was tje last thing i did as fat as a remodel room because i wasnt sure what i wanted to do for a theme. Juan and I both really wanted to do an airplane theme because he loves them! But i really wanted the old school ones but i couldnt pin point what i loved. While i was in Washington I went to Hobby Lobby hoping to find the perfect things. I did find perfect stuff but not for that theme. They didnt have that many planes and they.were.small.and $40bucks each! So i went with another theme nautical that I jave always wanted to do! It came together.lovely!!He even was able to upgrade to a bigger bed thanks to a friend if mine getting rid of thiers!

Fire!

Before the weather got too yucky, we had a little smores party! The boys absolutely loved it! I cant wait for warm weather again to be able to do this again. I picked iup this fire pit at a yard sale for ten dollars and Im so glad I got it!

My grandpa built this little bench and I was able to bring it back one time when I went with the kids home.

Fun Outside!

We have been trying to get our place looking better outside. And the  boys have loved having it be so nice for as long as it has been! (Rain has begun now)

Keenan had been begging for a  tree house just like at grandpas house. Finally I went out and tried to make something. It looks really tacky but they have fun out there!

We are really lucky to live right across the way from a landscaper. He had an extra truck full of bark dust and asked us if we wanted it for forty bucks! heck ya! So we were able to put it in our front flowe bed and the side where we have trees. Makes it look so nice!

Here is another area where the bark dust went by the trees.

Fall Fun at the Country Mercantile

(Photo quality not great because these are all off my phone)

We were determined to head up for the annual McGary Fall Fun at the Mercantile. We were'nt able to make it last year, and this year we were! It was freezing and windy but that didn't stop the kids from having a blast with thier cousins. Damon was having a hard weekend, day, so he spent most of the time inside with my mom. We are so lucky that we are able to go here for free and enjoy everything it has to offer! Hay maze, hay tower, petting zoo, food, rides, pumpkin patch!

We headed up after Juan worked a part day Friday, the 19th, and our partying didn't stop until Sunday when we came home! We stopped at my parents house on our way through to Othello. We were heading to Othello to go eat some Chinese food with Juans sister Ana and his Uncle Chilos family. After dinner, we went to Walmart where Flor bought all the kids toys! They were in heaven picking whatever they wanted! We then headed to another cousins house to say hi, putting us to Anas house at about 11:30 pm.

It was nice to relax Saturday a bit at Ana's before we all went to the Mercantile at 1.

We have so much family that we want to see and so we try and make our apperances with everyone we can! After the mercantile we went to Colbys house, got ready for a trunk or treat at thier ward, then picked up pizza and went to Seth and Heathers house to sleep. pheww... I was looking forward to getting home and having a normal schedule again. Its really hard to travel that much when you have little ones. But it is all so worth it!

Keenan as a ninja

The ride up! We picked Vicky up from work on the way there.

Damon all a little unsure of everything! The carouseul, train ride, he was happy and content inside. He also doesn't do well when he is tired. He needs his sleep for sure!

Niko as a Monkey for the trunk or treat!

Niko and Juan on the Carousel

Our big pumpkin from the pumpkin patch!

My parents are such great grandparents! I only hope that I can be half the people they are! Seriously amazing!

Annual Fishing Day for Kids with Disabilities

We took a morning/afternoon trip over to the coast! (I cant exactly remeber the name of the town)
It was a warm day at out place, but of course as we get closer to the coast, the mist starts to come, and rain clouds looked immenant! I told Juan, I totally forgot jackets or anything! We are dressed for summer! But it ende up being ok! It was a quick thing. Each person was allowed to catch four fish from the hatchery. It was perfect because it didn't take but a couple seconds to catch a fish. The boys were loving it!!

Damon was especially thrilled with the idea of putting in the rill, and then there is a fish! He couldnt wait to get his hands on that rill each time! It was such a special time with our family. It was special because it was for famlies with special needs kids, so everyone caters to each family. They are ready to help out as soon as you get there. The guy that was helping us, went and cleaned out fish for us so we didnt have to stand in line for an hour. So nice! We dont eat fish so they are still sitting in our freezer! Keenan still asks me when were going to eat it!

This was funny because the guy there said they werent supposed to let the kids see them hitting the fish in the eyes to kill them because it might scare them. Well not our kids! They thought it was great and let Keenan do it!

We were givrn doughnuts and hot cocoa when we arrived, ice cream, then we had a BBQ with hamburgers, hotdogs, and chicken with all the fixings. We got in line quick so we could head back quick. Will we do it next year? I doubt it.. Kinda a long drive for a short thing. But am I glad we experienced it? Of course!

I absolutely love that my kids are growing up with a child with disabilities. They think its completely normal. They are going to have compassion that people that dont get this opportunity will have.
