Well I have a few minutes at school before my next class starts. As the title explains it, "a whole new life approaching" it gives it all away! School is fastly approaching an end for Juan and I can't even believe it! We moved to Rexburg a little over 2 years ago, and now it's time to move back home... for 5 months anyways. Juan applied through Columbia Industries last year sometime and got a phone call last Thursday that CH2M Hill had requested him for a Summer internship. It was such a random phone call the day of Keenan's surgery, I didn't know what to think of it. It's such a blessing because I stress about what happening the next day in our life, and so on. So of course I was stressing Juan getting his second internship and in the field of Construction, its hard to find. Juan gave the lady a call back, gave him his availablity dates of July 26th- Dec 31st and they accepted them! So we are on our way back to the homeland and couldn't be more excited! We feel so blessed for it, and this was ultimately our dream to go back home! So fingers crossed as we go on to our next phase in life, and hope that this goes into a job when were done.
As for me, this is my one and only semester here on campus at BYU-I because of course Im not staying here to keep going to school! And I've learned that I will never take 12 credits again at a time! I ended up dropping my psych class. So im focusing on my other 3 classes, and I can't believe were already almost at mid-terms! Thank goodness! I will be taking one online class this Fall, and then just be a mom and wife when we come back for Juans last semester in the Winter.
So here's to a new and exciting time in our lives! We just wish it was July already!

He HEARS!!
Real quick... today has been a little bit colder so we have had the heater kicking on every once in a while. I've never noticed it before, but for the two times Keenan has heard it, he has stopped what he's doing, and looked to see where the noise came from! EEkk!!! Good news!

As of Late
It seems I never have time to get ont he computer anymore unless its for homework. While Juan is at Iron Man 2, I thought I would catch everyone up with what is going on in our lives! CRAZY BUSY would be an understatement! With both of us in school, its just busy busy busy! Running here, running there, doing this, doing that! Mon and Wed Juan and I are in school 15 min from each other so he picks me up and I drop him off, and vice versa. But its fun! I keep telling myself that I can do it, because lets face it! Its a hard job being a parent, a student, and keeping up with therapies for Damon. He's also in pre-school MWF for a couple more weeks atleast. It will be kinda nice when he's done for the summer! Juan has been waking up with him at 7, to get him ready and on the bus and 7:50.
The days have been somewhat nice and we try and take full advantage of them while we can. They don't last very long. Might be nice in the morning, and and rainy or windy in the evening. This last Monday we were able to go for a walk and go get snow cones, and it was soo nice! We love the warm weather and can't wait for weekend camping trips! I hope we go a lot this summer! I have been just craving doing outdoor activities! We want to go hiking, camping, swimming, and just hang out as a family! We will miss Rexburg when we leave here next year because you can drive 20 min and be in the mountains and camp! My goal this year is to climb the R! I hope that we can get to do that with our busy schedules! I have been so proud of Juan! He has been sticking to his workout schedule 3x a week and what a difference its making! Im trying to keep up with my schedule to work out everyday, but in all reality, its hard!
We are so excited to head home for the summer! We miss the family, and the BBQ's, get togethers, and just being with everyone we love! Well that's us in a nutshell!

Keenan's Surgery
Well Keenan did awesome for his surgery! They said he had huge adnoids, tonsils and lots of fluid in the ears! Well good deal! He did so good for everything! His face was priceless when they put his IV in his hand! His mouth fell open all the way and just looked shocked! It was funny! They had to go to his right hand because the vein moved or collapsed. He still did grea though! As soon as they gave him the medicine he became really drowsy. Pretty cool stuff! He was in surgery for a little under an hour, and he slept for over an hour after surgery! He was doing soo good! There was another little boy in there just freaking out! When they brought him back into the room when he was awake, he was just chill! Not crying or anything! even tried giving me a smile! He did awesome drinking and eating jell-o! I am soo glad it went well! I was ready for the worst but he's the man! He's a trooper! He was even eating curly fries and a chicken burger tonight!

Mother's Day
While I have a few minutes I thought I would jot down a few things that are running though my mind. The boys are down for the night, and Juan is over at a friends house watching them play a game called "Magic"
Mother's Day was awesome today! This whole weekend has been great! Juan made me breakfast this morning. Eggs, doughnuts, bacon and milk! Yummy! He also helped me pick up the whole apt, so it wasn't a disaster when we got back from church! Great guy! Me and 3 other friends headed over to Frontier Pies at noon to get our "free" piece of pie! It was great! It was only the beginning of such yummy treats for the day! Church was also great followed by more goodies! We got cookies in RS, Keenan and Damon had cookies for me, and then we got chocolate afterwards! I need a detox this week!
Being a mom is really wierd to me! I love it in every way but I still can't believe that I have two boys that depend on me for thier every need! As soon as I walk in the room, Damon starts to get fussy cause he wants me to hold him! I don't know what I did to deserve the boys I have, and that I am entrusted with them, because I fail misserably sometimes that I wonder if I'm capable of such an honor. I love being a mom, and I love being a wife!
We had a potluck with a bunch of our friends in the ward a couple hours after church. I have been thinking a lot lately about where our life is going to take us in the next few months and the next year. I'm so excited for Juan to be getting done with school, and moving on to "real" life, but I can't deny or lie that I am truly going to miss Rexburg and the friends we have made here. It's not going to be like this anywhere that we move. It's a little sad. As I was sitting outside tonight with our big group of friends (as pictured below) I couldn't help be thankful for the opportunity that we had to move here 2 years ago! It has flown by! I can't imagine where out life would be if we had stuck around and did nothing. Of course we miss family like crazy, but this was an amazing step in our life!

This lady is AMAZING! I really don't know where she gets all the energy and spunk to do everything she does! She's an awesome choir teacher, (so i hear from the great vine, and an honered teacher of the year) she must be doing something right! Piano teacher, wife, mom, grandma, and whatever else you throw at her she will do! She is an amazing example to me, and to who I wanna be when I grow up! I look like her, so its just getting that other part down! I miss her like crazy and miss being able to just call her up one day and ask her if she want's to go to town with me. She's the only person I can trust for a long period of time with Damon, and it's so fun to see the grandma love that comes towards my boys. I don't know what I would do without her and her example to me. I love you mom (and dad) and can't wait to see you in July! get you r party shoes on cause your not in school, and were all gonna be home! :)

Run4Micro Fun Run
Run4Micro is over for another year! Now its time to look back and ponder on what I did, and the accomplishment that I feel. I didn't know that I would be able to pull something like this off or not. It wouldn't have been possible without the help of the recreation director for the City of Rexburg and his intern. Thanks to them, they got me my permit, got the police to direct traffic, tables, mapping out the course, and helping me all around!
The start of the race! We had about 70 people registered through the website, but about 60 were out to run! Which is great if you ask me! Bob, (recreation director) told me to count on about 40 people so we exceeded that and my goal was 50! I made it!
Getting ready! (you see me? I have the stripped hat on in the right)
It was soo cool to see the people that came! These guys get the prize for coming the farthest! Vicky came from Portland OR, and Ana and her family came from WA! (these are Juans sisters) It was a good reason for them to come and visit us! :)

My sister also came from West Jordan UT to run with me! How fun is that! It was a lot of fun to run together and to chit chat! Their stay was short, but it was soo fun! Thanks for coming and supporting me Kira! It meant a lot!

Our little Run4micro family! Juan was amazing and pushed the boys the whole way! Now let me fill you in on the course! The first mile was great and straight! The next mile was pretty much much up hill! Pushing a jogging stroller is one thing, but running, and pushing, and going up hill! UHH-MAZING!

Cool picture showing our sponsors.
A big thank you to Bob and his intern!
Who's that hottie?

Keenan was enjoying the water! It was freezing cold that day! The weather all week has predicted snow/rain showers so I was super worried that no one would come because of the weather! But lo and behold, MANY prayers were answered, and we just had cold wind! Great for running though I must say so myself!
Giving out raffles! I think everyone enjoyed what they got! about 3 people got the majority of everything but that's because they bought extra raffles!

There is always more that can be donated. All year long you can donate at www.run4micro.org! Thanks again for every ones support and I am already excited about next year! It will be tons more easier since the website is up, logo done, registration forms created and much more hassle!
I have to give a shout out to my brother-in-law for putting up with me and all the critiquing I did for the website! He not only created the logo, the website, and got everything up and running with the help of his company, but he dealt with me :)
