Then my table, it needed a little face lift! Something to jazz up our apartment, so thanks to my GREAT friend Courtney, who told me I should re-do it before we left to CA, I did it! Finally! It still has a few rough spots that I dont feel like touching up yet, so they will re-main until... oh someday. And my flowers, got that vase at DI, for .50! Repainted it black, it was an ugly blue, then added those sticks and things that I got at DI and michaels, eveything for under $10! Not bad huh?

Before/After
So I have been having fun re-doing things either at home, or from a thrift store! Can't believe the deals you can get if you go in the right mood! Look number one, this mirroe was $1.95 at St. Vincent in Idaho Falls! Couldnt not get it! I love it now black! It adds more to our little home!

In a pickle
So here is my dilemma! Keenan is 28 months old, and still prefers not to talk! He can say words, but prefers not too. He has said:
Outside
No
puple (purple)
eyes
nose
mo (mouth)
shua (shoe)
dink (drink)
pease (please)
mom
I can't really think of anything else. But he can't say simple words either like ball. I don't know what to do to get him to talk. Do I get him evaluated? But then will they will tell me he's fine cause he has said those words? Do I wait until atleast summer to see if he doesn't start talking? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Sweet, Melt my Heart Kinda Comment
So yesterday started out like any other Sunday. Wake up, enjoy my morning, no rush, take my time to get my and the kids ready! Fabulous! Because I am trying to get into school here, I had an interview witht the Bishop and for an esslesiastical letter, and then I had to meet with one of the Stake Presidency. Lucky for me, they were there also, and so I was able to meet with one that was just waiting for someone like me! This is where the part that is neat comes in. So as I'm talking to the guy, I'm telling him this is my first time trying to get in, and telling him that I went to Beauty School, then stopped working because I was put on bed rest, then couldnt really go back because the time I could go back, we were finding out everything with Damon. He said, how old is your son? I say 4, and he continues on that he knows me. What? Yah I've watched you before. Didn't you used to have blonde hair? umm... yes? thats kinda creepy. Well he has a cousin about his age with Down syndrome. He said that he has watched me with Damon, and notcied the same attributes that his cousins mom had with his cousin, the way she was with him and saw I was the same. He continued saying that we may not know why at the moment why we were picked to be his parent's to take care of him. But he said Heavenly Father may have a special plan for us and we may not know in this life what it is. Of course I couldn't hold back tears, because it's not everyday that you find out someone is watching you and thinking what an amazing thing your doing. It was a nice reassurance that Im doing what I'm supposed to with him. I love him more then words can express and I don't know where i would be if I didn't have this little guy to love, cuddle, and help with!

Fun Run/ mile and 5k
So Here I am nervous! But I'm not going to let these nerves get in the way of supporting a GREAT cause! This year, hopefully in April or May, I am wanting to do a fun run of some sort to raise money for the FCM Shining Stars fundraiser. This is to raise money to help families that cannot afford to attend the annual convention. I am excited to make a difference and help with a great cause! Wish me luck!

Well are back in the Antarctic! Well at least is has felt like it the last couple of days! Today was a high of I think 4 degrees, and this morning it was -13! That's just craziness! But all in all it's nice to be back, but I am missing my peeps in CA! Just as you meet great friends, they are ripped from you! But that's the life of college students! We had an uneventful trip back home (thank goodness) with great roads the whole way! But wow does Rexburg have a lot of snow!! It's still surreal that were here though. It sure doesn't take long to get used to no homework and only work! But we will have to worry about school work for a bit longer!
I never took my ACT test while in High school so six years later, I knew that I wanted to go back to school. That was the first step towards getting there so I scheduled it that day for December so I couldn't re-think it! Well for 6 years out of high school, I did pretty good! Now I'm in the process of applying for here at BYU-Idaho. I will only be able to get probably a semester in but I guess I can always transfer. I'm hoping to eventually do Dental Hygiene! That's my goal anyways!
The boys are doing great! Keenan has become a wrestler and loves to jump off of things, do summer salts, run back and forth across the room laughing, and getting the toys out over and over again! He still doesn't talk much, but he's trying! He has just started saying "NO" for everything! Even if he does want something. It has been a struggle to get him back on a schedule but it's coming along. He is pretty much to the point where he doesn't take naps anymore! I hate this part!
Damon is starting pre-school again next week and I'm so excited for him! he will have a new aid and I'm so excited for a change! His teachers are so good with him! They have missed him while we were away in CA. Therapy starts up next week for him also so it's starting to get bust once again. I'm hoping that he hasn't gotten too far behind after being off for 3 months. He is scheduled to get Botox again in March so that will be good for him. We are planning on going to the convention again this year for Foundation for Children with Microcephaly. We had such a great time last year we can't miss it again! www.childrenwithmicro.org Damon is featured in the calender as our Mr.August in their calender they are selling as a fundraiser. He is also on the website as one of the children, and on the brochure, and on the shining stars brochure! He is just too cute not too I guess! He is an amazing child, and we love him so much!
Juan is back at school and taking another full load! 15.5 credits, about 6 classes. So he's busy with that! But this is our final year here in Rexburg, and that is including doing an internship sometime, somewhere also! So were on the last leg of school. He will have 2 semesters of school, and one internship left after this semester. I don't know where we would be, or what we would be doing, if we hadn't decided to move here 2 years ago. Amazing experiences, amazing friends, and all around a constant party! WE love it it here, but will be ready for the next chapter in our lives!
I'm trying to keep everything under control at home, keeping up with everyone! I'm staying busy with that, working out, eating WAY better after the holidays, and cleaning up after Keenan all day! Other then that! Life if great! Were alive and well!
