Seizures
Life is fragile. You never know what to expect from one minute to the next. Damon was having a rough day yesterday. I figured he was hungry and tired, and that he was. I put him to sleep, but not without a fight. After he had been asleep for about 15 minutes, I was eating lunch at the table when I heard him having a seizure. It sounds as if someone is trying to catch their breath really quickly. So I went over and sat on the floor while he was still on the couch. I had the thought to look at the clock and time this one. I have never timed his seizures before and I'm glad I did. I just kept watching him, and nothing can get them to come out of them. So there I am, just watching Damon suffer from these horrible things that he has to go through. I was watching for different things that might signal something different about this one. Nothing really different. As I look back at the clock, it had been about 3 minutes. I continued to hold him to his side because his saliva was really starting to accumulate in his mouth. There was a slight moment where his color changed in his face to a more purple color, and he was having a harder time breathing. Looked at the clock again, 5 minutes now. I ran to our room and got a box down, hoping it was the right one where I put his emergency Diastat. Diastat is a medicine that you use rectally if a seizure last longer then 5 minutes. I had never used it before so I was hoping I was using it right. I just went with what I thought was right, and about a minute later, he was coming out of it, but not before I called 911. I hesitated to call them at first, but you never know with these little guys. It can take so little for anything to change, so I wasn't going to risk it. They were there pretty quick, and did vitals on him, and everything was normal. He was still so out of it, and kinda twitchy. He took a long nap after, and was pretty cranky the rest of the day. Seizures just wipe them out! I'm just so glad I brought the Diastat with me, and I dont think I will ever go anywhere without it now!

Chuck E Cheese
We were invited to our friends little boys 2nd birthday last night at Chuck E Cheeses. Of course the boys were in heaven with all the lights and games! They loved it!
Playing at Grandma's
Gotta love the Basin! Yesterday I wanted to go and let the boys play at my parents house. So we took the short drive that morning and were there most of the day! I took these while I was on the 4 wheeler with the boys.

What we have been up to
I have been horrible at updating this blog. We have been too busy to sit down and feel like writing. The semester ended good for both of us. Juan finished with all A's except for one B. Im so proud of him! I passed all my classes also, with two B's and a C in my math! I'm just glad I passed that blasted class. We didn't waste any time getting out of Rexburg. I took my last final on the 22nd, and we left that morning. Finished the apartment and officially checked out! It was so wierd that we are done living there and that we left so many friends behind. :( we already miss them. We had some good times with them, and were getting to know more better.
Juan moved us into our apartment in Pasco on that next day on Friday. We feel so blessed to be able to get into this place because the rental rate is about 98% full. Just happened to all work out. While Juan was getting us settled being the awesome husband he is, I left that next morning with Heather and went up to Courd'Alene to watch their little girl Macy while they were at a work retreat. I felt like I was part of the retreat with just hanging out and ordering room service! It was great!
Juan started his first day at CH2MHill on the 26th and has been having a great time out there! He even got taken out to lunch with one of the top guuys out there and meeting all these people! He loving it and he's making an inpression on them, because they are rememebering his name, which he has been told that they don't know the other interns names. He's doing aweseome and Im so proud of what he has done with his life.
Me and the boys haven't wasted a minute with hanging out with our family, and the boys love hanging with thier cousins. Heather and I have gotten into rollerblading and so we push the strollers while we go along the Columbia river in Pasco. Such good excercise, and so fun!
