Trip to the Hearing and ENT doc

Real quickly I wanted to jot down some things we found out about Keenan yesterday. Keenan is having a hard time with his speech and not communicating very well. He was evaluated for speech about a month ago and he is a year behind. First things first, we took him to the hearing and balance center and he failed all his hearing tests. He failed because he has fluid behind his ears. So we went upstairs to the Ear Nose and Throat specialist, and he has fluid that has been there a while, so antibiotics won't clear it. He also has really big tonsils. On a scale of 0-4, 0 being small, and 4 large, he is at a 3. So we have an appt. May 20th, to remove tonsils, adnoids, and put tubes in his ears. The DR said imagine trying to pick up on words when your hearing a muffled sound all the time. So maybe some answers? We hope so!

So much!!

Wow! I don't think that life could get any busier at the moment! But then again, Im sure it could! We have been constant with things going on. Here is a recap of the last few weeks.

My mom came to help out during her Spring break with us while Damon was sick, and had his surgery. Thank goodness she came to help! I was about to lose it with all the stress I was having with Damon and Keenan. Keenan went home with my mom and spent Easter with them and then the rest of Easter day and the following week at his Tia Ana's house.

Last week of finals for the Winter semester for Juan was April 4th-9th. (Again thankful my mom was here because he was so consumed and busy in school, he was hardly here)

April 7-8th, I went down to Utah AGAIN but for good reason! Damon had his braces on his legs taken off! A few days earlier then I expected! Thats always a good thing. He wasn't too sure of his legs being uncasted and didn't really like it at first! He is still wearing them at night and when he is in his stander. I rushed home and got the house clean and packed for our trip to Washington! Oh what a wonderful trip!

April 9th-18th! WASHINGTON! We always have an amazing time when we go home! We were able to spend some good time with both our families together and seperate! From BBQ's, volleyball, horses, yard selling, a little shopping, crafting, and much more we wer pleased with our time there! But we were both anxious to get back!

School started for both of us April 20th! This is going to be a very busy semester for us both! Juan has classes M-Thur, and I have classes M,W, F, so it works out great to switch the kids off and on and we don't have to get a sitter. Juan is taking a full load of 17 1/2 credits, and Im currently enrolled in 9, but come Monday hopefully I get into a nutrtion class Ive been going to, and then I will have 12! Lots to do this semester and Im glad lots of DR appts are over with.

Another thing that we had evaluated was Keenan's speech. He is a year behind all together, with his recpetive being 13 months behind, and is actually talking about 10 months behind. So we gotta get him involved in speech and hopefully before long, he's talking a mile a minute!

I have been getting things gathered and ready for my FUN RUN im organizing for May 1! I can't believe that its already here, but I will sure be glad when its over! Lots of work and time, and thinking! My brain wants to shut it off already! Juan and I are going to Broulims today to set up a table and see if we can get more people to register. My goal is 50, and I have about 47 now, but I know others that are running but haven't registered yet! So I'm confident that I will meet it! Shirts have been ordered and Im soo excited about them! They looks so good! Pics will be coming! We have a photographer that is going to be coming out on race day to get lots of good pics for us for the website!

I will get pics up from our last month or so, but I gotta get myself and the kids ready!
