Annual Girls Weekend- Portland OR

Oh what a FUN FUN tradition we started last year that will only be missed if we die! A weekend girls getaway. Last year we went to Utah since I was in Idaho and Kira Utah so my mom only had to fly up. This year with me in Portland and my mom close enought to drive we thought we would do it here. But this year we decided the extend the fun and invite the sister in laws. Unfortunatly on one could come but are already planning for next year so mark you calenders ladies!
I was so lucky to meet up with the girls at the airport as soon as Kira arrived and we didn't waste any time! We checked into the hotel and hit up the shopping center by our hotel. Ikea, Ross, Maurices, then met up with my Grandpa and Jane at Red Robin for dinner. It's always nice getting together with them and I feel like I know them so much better since we see them a lot more since moving here!
Where would we be without little Tom Tom! How people get around in big cities is beyond me. Well I know they dont because everyone has these on thier dash i've noticed.

Check her out! Her awesome Target find! Yep she was pretty much rockin that coat ever since and was complimented on it alot! Asking if she got it at Nordstroms even!

Heather in the front seat enjoying the view so she woulnd't get car sick. The beautiful one of the morning since the rest of us left with no makeup on because we went to Sephora to get makeovers done and get new makeup.

Oh the beauty sisters! Thank goodness for sunglasses! Hiding away the flaws!

Yep we all bought these shoes. Living in seperate states you can do that kind of thing.

Oh my.... no words...

We shopped until we dropped. 9am-8pm then went to Olive garden for dinner.
Were already planning for next year and planning on staying in Hillsboro. Lots more close shopping. Well I guess I better start saving already for next years trip! We did some damage on that wallet! Oh but so worth it!

Wedding

Because I do have another side of family that we rarely get pictures with I figured these needed to be posted. Juans cousin got married a few weekends ago. We went and had fun pretty much the second part of the night. You can only dance, really listen to mexican music for so long. So once they started playing better music it was fun. And of course we got seated upstairs, yep with Damon. (you can see where we are in terms or family. We never see them, let alone really talk to them so it was fine) But there was good food!

Damon LOVED the lights and watching everyone dance!

Spring Break in Washington

Sunday rolled around on the week of Spring Break for Damon and I was so worried about it. Damon thrives on going to school and being out and about. Hes not a huge fan of being home. I dont blame him though. He cant have me one on one anymore like at school. He gets so excited going to school and its a nice break for me also. So as spring break arrived I was sitting in church and i leaned over to Juan and asked what he thought about me going to my parenta house. "Home" He said go for it and thats all I needed. So I got things ready on Monday and Tuesday morning we took off. It seems to take a little more time getting there when there is only one adult and three little ones. I think my dad was anxious for us to get there and called me at 8 asking where we were at. Well i was still at home and getting ready. I didnt think there was a big hurry because I knew they were both working anyways. Turns out my dad was working from home. It turnes out to be such a nice break! I dont know if it was because we werent trying to fit in and see everyone or we were just really relaxed there. It was so great! And such a change because my dad was home a lot which isnt usual. So it was a lit of fun for us ans especially Keenan. Lots of grandpa time! My mom even took a day off of school to spend the day with us. And a great day it was. We did a few shopping things, more needed then fun shopping. And i get really exhausted when I have to shop with the kids. It just doesnt happen anymore. Then we met uo with Trisha, Colby and my dad at Bobs burgers in Richland for Colbys bday. That was fun to hang out with them. But I tell ya, that Damon boy can spot a balloon a million miles away! He spotted one up in the ceiling and he was crying and unhappy. So i ran over to walmart got him one then I was able to enjoy my lunch and he was happy so were all happy.

My dad always has fun ideas for the kids. He decided the shoot off bottle rockets. This is the second one they are shooting off and I had to force Keenan to take a picture because after the first one went off, he got scared and ran to the porch.

Juans Birthday

Did we bring Rexburf weather with us? Snow on Juans bday at the end of March! I wanted to make this day special for him as he made my day special. A few days before his birthday I got into his phone while he was out of the room and got his project managers phone number. I wanted to text him and ask if I could suprise him with cupcakes at work. A reply of "heck yah" was my go! I felt like I was snooping around and hiding something from him. A feeling that is never good! With Juan working with Intel they are very strict on who can come into work areaa. But Ben his PM was able to talk to someone and get me a visitors pass. I called when i arrived and a guy said I will be the one to bring you in. After the fact of me coming in and Juan knowing I came and suprised him like a little school boy, he says I heard the guy say that now it all makes sense. Good sports for helping me get in. I made him a yummy chicken alfredo dinner and Jian amd Vicky came over to celebrate. Dinner was complete with jello cake! Always a winner! I got him a few presents that he loves and were unexpexted from me. I think it was a fun day for him and he liked it.
