Need Advice & Thoughts
Ok im asking for everyones opinion. There is a microcephaly convention in June for all chlildren with microcephaly and a couple other disabilities. (which is what Damon has) It's pretty pricey as it's about $800 for motel, for 4 days, and registration fees. There is a fundraising opportunity to raise money to help cover fees, and to help others get to be able to come also. Based on the money you raise, you get 50% to pay for your fees and the other 50% helps others and top doctors to be able to come. What Im asking is, should I do this and ask for donations from businesses and what not? I have mixed feelings on these kinds of things, so I dont know. Or if I should wait for a few more years to do this. This is just one of those kinds of things I've wanted to attend since last year when they first announced the conventions as an annual thing. Do you want to go? Can you afford to go? (Can you afford not to go?) If you only got to attend one time, would you choose this year to go? You'll get the inspiration to help you make the right decision. Love Mom and Dad

I would say that if you can afford to go then do it. I think the more education and help you can get the better you can understand your childs needs. but also the lord is the biggest helper when it comes to knowing his needs. Good luck, you are one of the heros in my life alise.
I am glad you loved it! Sean and I did too... Still makes me get butterflies, I can't believe I am married most of the time, and so Sean... HE IS WONDERFUL! Miss you girl. HEY are you coming down next month???... Sean and I would love to get together! Gotta hang out with my girl!
I think that if you can afford it, it will be of great benefit to you and Damon. The more you understand his disabilities the better able you will be to not only care for his needs but to help him progress as much as he possibly can in this life. Pray about it and I'm sure you will know what to do. Damon's lucky to have such great parents!
Well if this is the convention in Costa Mesa then I can save you the $800 on the motel because you can come stay with us! We are only an hour from Costa Mesa!
