Dream

I had an amazing dream last night. I woke up feeling like I could conquer the world. My dream was I was taking a picture for the blog, (i know right?), but Damon was standing and I was getting him ready for school. He wasn't standing like nothing was ever wrong with him, and he didnt do it without me helping some, but for the most part it was all him. What an amazing experience, but only a dream. I do hope one day that he will be able to stand. I still have not come to full terms that I will be caring for him the rest of my life. Im a little selfish that way, in things we had hoped to do when we get older. Like going on a mission, or to travel. Heavenly Father knows our circumstances and I know he will make everything work out the way he is supposed to, and maybe this is all a learning experience. But some days I feel like I can totally do this, all the therapies, school, and doctor appointments, but toher days I feel so overwhelmed (not depressed) but I have a lot to do, and a lot of the things I do at home, will only reflect what his outcome is. I will take this "dream" with me everyday and try and make a better mom out of it!

I strongly believe that dreams are more than just dreams. I am sure that you were meant to have that dream. Look how it has inspired you!

Thanks for sharing it with us. I understand your thoughts and feelings. Having a disabled child can be an overwhelming task. But that doesn't mean that you are upset or angry or anything like that. I totally get it. And I have felt the same way :)

Take care!

Thank you for your beautiful insight. You never cease to amaze me with your strength and faith. I believe Heavenly Father gives us 'tender mercies' like dreams to help us to keep moving-obviously it was a boost for you. I don't understand at all what you are going through but I know Heavenly Father chooses special people for special children. It will all work out.

You are truely an amazing woman! From when I first met you, you have inspired me and motivated me to be a better wife and mother! I wish we still lived by each other so your goodness can rub off on me some more! I believe that dreams mean something! You are an amaz-za-zing woman and when all things are said and done and we are all on the other side, Damon will be thanking you for all the good that you have done and serving and being selfless. You are awesome!

Alise you are such an INCREDIBLE example to me! I'm not gonna be at abs tonight cuz Kevin's parents are driving to Boise for Boys state basketball! And they invited me to come so I get to visit my fam! But I miss you and we totally need to get together.
