Niko Alexander Enriquez

I was scheduled for July 22nd for an induction and I had gotten everything done that I needed to beforehand for the boys, the baby and myself. I called Thursday night and they said that I would probably get a call Friday because they hadn't had anyone come in. Friday morning rolls around and I get no call, I call in and they are still on Thursdays inductions and was told Probably Saturday. I think Friday and Saturday were the longest days ever! Waiting for a phone call on when we could come in to have the baby! Saturday we decided that we better go into town to waste time because it could be another long day. Saturday was also the 24th of July celebration at the church and I got so many people coming up saying wasn't I supposed to be having a baby! Yes I would of rather been in the hospital laboring or done having the baby!

I recieved a call Sunday morning bright and early at 6:10 a.m. to come in and have this baby! The day was finally here! I woke Juan up said it was time, I jumped in the shower, got the rest of the things ready, kissed the boys goodbye and by 7:15 we were out the door and heading in. When I got there they were waiting for me, got us in the room, and hooked an IV up really fast. The nurse tried to check if I was at all ready or if we needed to go to the little pill to start me. At my appointment the previous Tuesday I was barely at a one. But she couldnt tell and so she checked with my DR and we started right up with the Pitocin. Within about 20 minutes, I could already feel contractions that were steady. After about being in the room for 2 hours, the Dr and nurse came in, said they were going to check me and break my water. I was so shocked that they were going to break my water so soon! But I was at a 4 and progressing fast. That was another shock for me. They asked if I wanted an epidural, but at the moment I wasn't ready for one. That quickly changed about 20 minutes later and I was asking for one. When they checked me again, after I had the epiduarl in I was at a 7. I couldn't believe how fast this was going. With the other boys, I was in labor for 12 hours so I was fully expecting to be in labor that long again.

Within an hour and a half of getting the epidural, I was ready to start pusing at 1:30 p.m.

2:07 Niko Alexander Enriquez was born sunny side up just like Keenan was, weighing in at 7 lbs 10 oz and 19" long.

We got lots of fun visitors and by far the best was the boys coming to see us! We sent a picture to my dads phone and Keenan says, "Thats my mommys baby" So cute! We had tried talking to him and getting him to know that we were going to go to the DR and mommy was going to have a baby and it was going to be his brother. I didn't know if he understood but I think he did!

Our happy family of 5

I love Keenan's facial expressions these days! He is going to be the best big brother!

And we can't forget that Damon absolutely loves babies! He is so excited too!

Mommy and Damon, who is a mommas boy! He had to come lay with me as soon as he saw me.

First Bath

Born with lots of black, thick hair!

Right after giving birth! What a special moment! All that hard work of pushing and the pain is so worth the little miracle

Laboring!!

Juans work gave him this diaper cake as a suprise with pacifiers, socks, rattles, baby spoons and forks, and a card that everyone signed and put money in! A huge suprise for both of us! They are so good to him at work!
