Juan's cousin invited us to zoo lights last Sunday, and I had never heard of zoo lights. We looked it up and thought it was fun but decided that we would go for FHE on Monday. It was a Buy one, get one free for the first two weeks, but instead we bought a zoo pass for the year. We live only about 15-20 minutes from it and thought it would be great for me to be able to take the kids whenever I wanted. I'm so glad that we bought one since it was something I wanted to get them for Christmas. I'm excited to be able to go with a friend also that I found out has one.
I had everything ready to go and a quick dinner for when Juan got home from work so we could hurry and get there. It was open from 5-8 and we got there about 6:oo pm. Damon eyes were drawn to the lights the whole time and Niko was amazing! Keenan fell asleep on the way there and so he was a bit grumpier but he still loved it! I had told him all day about going to the zoo and the things we would see, one of them being spiders. Well we didn't see the spiders and so he was bummed about that.
The lights were amazing! It was freezing cold and we were all bundled in double layers but that was part of the fun! It's all about the season and we had a great time just as a little family!
