Western Caribbean Cruise

We flew into Ft. Lauderdale late late Friday night. We finally arrived at our Hotel at about 12:30 am after we were forgotten to get picked up curbside from the hotel shuttle. So we waited over an hour for that! The next morning we walked to Target to get sunscreen, water, and board shorts for Juan and OldNavy and sandals. We rushed back because the shuttle was to leave at 11 am. We didnt end up leaving until about noon because we waited for a big bus to get everyone.

Everyone waits in line to get through customs, get everything checked, and then to get our sea pass cards. Funny of the day- We didnt get passports. We just used our ID's and birth certificates and marriage license. I was all cleared to go, and then it was Juans turn. She looks at his birth certificate, says she''ll be right back, comes back and asks for some sort of other ID. Juan says I might have my school ID on me but thats it. She said, like a green card or something... WHAT? We tell her that he was born in WA state. haha! It was confusing because both parents were born in Mexico.

This is the Cruise Port in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. We had a balcony room and we loved having it! We were able to see out whenever we wanted. First thing to do aboard was to go eat! And eat we did not stop until we were off the ship! Man on Man! Food galore, 24/7! They had new things almost everyday to try so that was fun!
The pools were always busy with people during the day!

Live bands played all the time! It was fun to head "island" music! Makes for a very relaxing time!

I did the flow rider boogie board one time!

Saturday evening and Sunday were spend on the boat. They had lots of things for you to do! Some things we did were attend a Love and marriage game, battle of the sexes, Quest Game show, saw an illusionist comedian guy perform, watched an ICE show spectacular, which wasnt that spectacular we left during it, saw Saturday Night Fever on our last night, went to another comedy show and these are just a few! There was something for everyone, young and old!

First stop was in Belize. What an interesting time to start our excursions! Our Ship docked a ways out from Belize and tenders (small boats) had to transport to and from the ship. We were lucky enough to get in line at the very front and were one of the first boats to leave. Our travel agent had told us not to book our excursions through the cruise line because it costs so much more through them. So we went through shoretrips.com. I wanted each of us to choose something to do, and Juan got to choose for Belize. So we were going to do the Mayan Ruins with a city tour (4 hours). When we arrived in Belize, we were routed to our tour guides, and were told that our tour didn't leave for another 1.5 hours. So we were able to walk around a bit before heading out. We waited and waited, and were waiting for another couple that were still on the boat. By this time, I was frustrated, it was hot, and all I wanted to do was get in the water! So long story short, we switched out and ended up going on the cave tubes. But that wasnt the end of our problems. We forgot to call our banks and let them know we were going to be on a cruise. Our tour guide charged 100 dollars for us both to go. We didn't take that much into Belize with us. So we stopped at two banks in which his card was denied! We only had $65, then Juan found another $20 in his wallet, so the guy did it for $85. Thankfully! It ended up being a great experience because we had a personal tour guide, in our own car, not a huge bus, and it was a lot more personal of a tour for us! Awesome! In the end, we got our $85 back, and they were going to sort out with shoretrips to get the money we had already paid for the mayan ruins. Thankfully because I was starving and we had no money! So we were able to go get some carribean jerk chicken, rice, and beans! Yummy!!!

This is the Police station. What is interesting, the police only get an alloted amount of money per month/ week or something. So you never see cops outside of town so you can drive however you want! FAST!
This was a home.
