Fence!

Finally that old (20+ yrs) fence is gone! It was such an eye sore! We couldn't have picked a hotter time to start putting in the fence! It was terribly hot for the first couple weeks. We worked on it everyday for those two weeks, and then for the next 2 weeks, we would take a day off here and there, or quit early because most days we would work until 9-9:30 pm. It made for very long days for both of us! Juan would come home and eat and then we would head out, and I had been doing stuff for it during the day. I am so glad we are 95% done with it. Just the gates left and few pieces to add to the back side. We were so grateful for out neighbors, who have become great friends now, who are also in our ward, and have kids Keenans age, so they loved being able to go back and forth so easy between houses! When we finally put up the last section that makes it so you can't go into their yard anymore, Keenan comes out and says, "hey how am I going to get home now?" so they go all the way around and say " this is going to take forever now!" It sure does look so much better! Our other Friend Eric and his family came and helped us out a ton! Eric has built a fence before so he knew what he was doing and directed us in what we needed to do, how to line it all up and what not. Huge help! We have gotten so many compliments on it and how were taking the time, and making sure we do it right. Its been a fun process to do together again, and it seems that when we do projects together, we become closer.

These were piles that I posted on craigslist for free. Thankfully we got a few responders and they came and hauled away what they wanted! Helped so we only had to take one truck load to the dump!
My little helpers! Getting quotes and running from place to place. We made so many trips to Lowes, and Parr Lumber for supplies. We either needed more, make an exchange and we have come to learn that always budget more!
