Oh this has been my favorite girls weekend ever! There is something about the beach being so relaxing and we couldn't of had better weather! The Oregon Coast is known for being cold. The weather was in the 70's, no rain, and a slight breeze. Making it so enjoyable. Kira flew in on Wednesday evening so I rode the Max down to IKEA which is right by Portland Airport and met up with Heather, Trisha, Grandma Floyd, and my mom. We did some shopping there before Kira flew in. I took them to a restaurant called La Petite Provence, which was a disappointment from the first time I went. WE then walked down to the Salt and Straw which is known for its rare/different ice cream flavors. Im not a big ice cream fan so I didn't get any. I don't think that disappointed. It was such a fun night! We started laughing from the time we started out that evening, until Saturday! What fun! On Thurday we all us girls went to the gym to get in a workout before we pigged out on chocolate, chocolate chocolate!
We headed out to Lincoln City and stopped for lunch at Otis Café. If you are ever in that area, you must go! It looks like a hole in the wall place to eat, and you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the restroom, and they only have 5 tables, but so good! Good home style cooked food. We loved it so much we went for breakfast on the way home! We opted for soup and salad and it was perfect, big portions though, but it was drizzly that day. Which was ok because we spent the time shopping at the Outlets.
Between workouts, running on the beach, beach walks, eating chocolate, relaxing in the hot tub on the private balcony, making some yummy summer meals, it was perfect bliss! I cant wait for next year.
