Christmas Eve

I was such a weird day because with Christmas falling on a Wednesday, Juan had to work Christmas Eve (until noon). So we worked all day getting things ready for when dad got home and then for Christmas day. I didn't want to be in the kitchen forever on Christmas so I did whatever baking I needed this day. I did dishes 3x, and was in and out of the kitchen all day! I started out making angel food cake (dessert Christmas Eve), cinnamon rolls (Christmas day breakfast) that I had to make twice because I forgot the butter the first time, Mexican rice, chicken enchilades, beans, salsa, put together funeral potatoes for Christmas lunch, made rolls for Christmas lunch. It was an exhausting day all the while hoping to keep the house somewhat clean! I was ready to relax! I helped Keenan make this snowman so we had some sort of Christmas craft he could do!

Usually we do Christmas eve gifts after dinner, but Keenan just "can't take it any longer" but we couldn't do it without dad. So as soon as he walked through that door, there was no stopping him!
I love being able to capture the looks on their faces. Its such a fun thing!

Vicky and Juan and Audriana came over for dinner. A few years ago we started the tradition to do an authentic Mexican meal for Christmas Eve and then do a traditional ham Christmas day. We have loved having the new baby around! She sure is spoiled by us!
mom; "Keenan do you want another baby?"
Keenan-"no"
mom-" How come, you don't want a baby sister?"
Keenan- "No, we already have Niko"

He has no desire to want another one.

 We got them a camera
later after dinner, the boys got to open their Christmas eve jammies and slippers. Keenans slippers were too small so we ran out and went to Fred Meyers but they had already closed, stopped by Walgreens, nothing, and were successful at Walmart.

Santa made his stop and we were so excited for the kids to see what he had brought!
