Girls Weekend

It came that time again! Annual girls weekend! But this year ended up just being Kira and I. Everyone else had other plans this year that didn't let them join. But I still wanted to get together with Kira and so I asked her if I came down there if we could still do it. So I worked hard and put the word out there that I was trying to earn money for a girls weekend and I was able to make enough and some to make it work out. I arranged everything for the boys to be taken care of while I was gone, and Juan was so nice to take Friday off and have the boys since they didn't have school that day. So I left on Thursday the 13th and flew out of Portland to Salt Lake. She picked me up curbside and then off we went! We were just hanging out at her house on Thursday. I didn't go with her to get the kids from school so I was hiding when they got home. I scared Kira and not the kids, but it was so funny!

 

 Friday we went to her Crossfit gym and I loved it! I thought I was in decent shape but wow! That works you in all areas! We did an 8 minute workout of deadlifts and box jumps. My back was sore for days! After the gym, we came home and got ready, took Jenna to preschool, went to lunch at Cubbys, which is an awesome BBQ place that we got salads at :) We stopped at cosmo prof, got some nail polish, then to the Paul Mitchell Beauty school for scalp massages. Nice and relaxing! We had to hurry back, get Jenna then grab the other kids from school. We headed out and checked into our Hotel in South Jordan and then put our name in at the Cheesecake factory. While we waited we headed into the mall and did some shopping. After eating, we went back to the mall and had so much fun! We went to this store called Bohme. We were in there for a good hour I think. We were just hitting such great deals we couldn't stop trying clothes on! As we were checking out, we said we were done for the night and ready to go eat our cheesecake! Well we had to be done because they had shut the doors! we had no idea it was already 9 o' clock! We had a good laugh about that! We stayed at a really really nice hotel that was super modern. We didn't expect it to be so nice and so cheap cost wise! We were thrilled!

 

Saturday was our main shopping day but because we had such great luck on Friday, we were pretty much done shopping by noon! We went and ate lunch at Olive Garden, and got pedicures. The pedicures gave us the next little ump to go check out Nordstrom Rack. So glad we did because we found some great stuff! It was such a nice and relaxing weekend but by the time Sunday came, I was ready to head home to my boys! They all missed me, and Keenan wanted me to sit by him in the back. I am so grateful Juan kept up the house and the kids were fed and happy! I think they thought it was awesome because I left them with chicken burgers, hamburgers, hotdogs, chips. A rare occasion around here! Keenan said it was the best weekend ever!
