Clear Lake Camping

I bought a pass to the Mt. Hood Adventure Park from groupon and the last day to use it was July 25 which worked out so perfect because it was something fun we could do to celebrate Niko's birthday. We decided to go camping the night before and had actually booked for two nights but Juan had a golf tournament on Saturday with his work he wanted to attend so we just camped the one night! It was still fun and its even more fun to explore new campgrounds. Since were still fairly new to Oregon, there are so many fun places to camp! This night was pretty cold, but still fun!

Friday morning we woke up and packed up our things, and headed to the Adventure Park. Luckily our campground was only about 15 minutes away so it didn't take us long. First thing we did was ride the alpine slides. They are these little carts that go down a track, somewhat similar to the movie cool runnings. Except your not in the space shuttle thing.

You can somewhat see the track winding down

You ride the ski lifts up part of the mountain then take the alpine slides down

They had two different areas. We just did the alpine slides once, then drove over to the other park where there was more for the kids to do. Keenan was able to do the bungee jumping because he was 40 lbs. Poor Niko was not very happy he couldn't do it cause he didn't weigh enough. The boys were tired from camping and so they each had their own little meltdowns.

Niko loved riding these horses and would get off, get in line and back on. There wasn't a long enough line to wait, so he got off, then immediately back on.

Keenan was so brave on this rock wall! I told him that if he got to the top, I would give him $5. He tried so hard and pushed himself! He went really high then couldn't go any farther. I told him he still deserved that money!

He almost made it all the way up!
Niko had to give it a try but it was more just hanging there.

After a couple hours, the boys were tired, we were tired and Niko was acting out. So Juan took him to the car and I let Keenan go on the last adventure. He wanted to ride in this hamster cage thing. He had a hard time getting it to spin or go anywhere. But still had a blast!
