Thanksgiving!

We had a low key stay at home Thanksgiving this year. It was so nice to not have to travel somewhere like we always have. Although I have a much higher appreciation for my mom cooking when we were younger! We were able to spend it with Juan and Vicky, Ana and Jose, Jordan and Natalie came down also for four days, and Juans cousin David and his girlfriend and little girl Destiny. I made pretty much everything! Turkey, gravy, stuffing, rolls, pie, drinks, smokies, and then the easy stuff from the others. It was a great time but we wished it was a little bit different. We have decided that our famlies are totally different! Juans family all loves watching sports all day and talking about the next Jordan shoes they are going to buy, (-Juan, he likes the video games) and my family talks about hunting, and guns. We wished that we played games and things but it was the usual where the guys stayed together and the girls did thier thing. But it was fun despite that. For next year we can change things up!
Because we all have kids, I stayed home and put the kids to bed while everyone else left for Black Friday shopping at 9:45. They returned at 2:30 but the guys went right back out to Best Buy and were home again about 4:30. Long night for them but they had a good time. Vicky and Juan are getting thier first apartment in January so they were on missions to find home goods. I think they were pleased with everything they got for a great price! I had gotten what I wanted online during the day, a wireless printer, but Juan found a different one (thats getting returned) and portable DVD players for the boys' Christmas. He also got a couple blu-ray movies for really cheap and a couple games. I went out the next morning but I wasn't really in the shopping mood and didn't want to spend any money. I was only on the lookout for a dress for Juans work party.
On Saturday, we went out looking for an ugly sweater for Ana and Jose, for Jose's work party. If he wins he get $100 gift card so hopefully he does because we made it awesome! The rest of the day we just enjoyed each others company by eating, eating, playing games, and laughing so hard! It was a great weekend spent with fun family!

Loved reading all your posts and getting caught up. I am so glad to see Damon on the mend too. THe whole hospital post made me so sad. It just looks like life is treating you well there for the most part. You deserve that. We're staying home for the holidays too-and actually excited.
