I wanted to share a couple things that Keenan has been doing lately.
There is something about Keenan that other kids not growing up with having a special needs child has. He has a love for his brother like no other. The other day I was feeding Niko. Damon was sick and so he was throwing up all day. I had a cup by him and he started throwing up. Before I could even say anything, he ran over there, grabbed the cup, and caught the barf. He was so quick to react when most kids would be so grossed out. He did catch most of it until he spit out his nose and it got on Keenan's hand. He jumped and the cup dropped. But it didn't stop him. He went right back and continued what he was doing. But he ended up spilling it all back on Damon, but that is besides the point. And it isn't that gross because it was formula that was just put in him. But really, what child at 4 will do that do another sibling?
Keenan will do anything "sweet" for you to love on him or want to cuddle when it comes to bedtime or when he doesn't want to do something. Like today we were out for a walk in the gorgeous spring like weather and he wanted to hold me hand while he was riding his bike. He says, "mom, I want to trust you" and I would just say, you can trust me. It was cute, but he has also said it before he goes to bed so we can snuggle. "I want to trust you." It's so innocent and cute.
