ICU

Currently we are out of ICU and got put into a regular room. I knew it wouldn't be long before we got to experience the new Randalls Children Hospital. Its a new expansion of Legacy Emmanual. They were working on it when we were here in November. So here we are again! But wow this new part is amazing and really nice! Everything is very modern. Every patient has private rooms which is really nice!

We have never been in the ICU before and it's not only for babies! I don't wait long for Damon to get him into a dr because with his condition, things can change very quickly which is what happened in this case. I kept him home on Tuesday from school because he started sneezing and runny nose on Monday evening. Tuesday afternoon he started wheezing and having a hard time breathing. I have albuteral treatments at home so I gave him 3 but they weren't working to well. So I called into his dr, went in, and then were sent to the ER. St. Vincent started him on lots of albuteral treatments but still his oxygen levels were still low, about 90's. So they transfered him by ambulance here to Randalls into the ICU where he was in isolation. Anytime anyone came in they had to gown up, glove up, and mask up. 2 days there and lots of treatments, we was able to go to a regular room. So now we are here and then actually able to go for walks! He hates being in the bed, cries when I leave the bed, or he can't see me, so we have just been relaxing and watching a lot of TV.

It's not just so easy though, I am constantly fixing and arranging him because hes falling over can't pick himself up, and then gets mad. What a pain it has been actually. I can't sit in the chair next to the table because he freaks out. Starting meds and food right now, and hes crying...

I hope today is the day you get to go home! Lucky you get to have mom come and visit. That should take almost all the cares away!!
