After being in the hospital and homebound I figured I better have a project to work on. I have been wanting to redo our fireplace after I saw a similar project on pinterest. Oh pinterest you really have me! I got up the nerve to do this, read up on what i needed, had it all, so got started. I should have read a little closer but all is well in the end! I started at the bottom painting EVERYTHING! Grout and tile. Guess your not to do the cement grout. Its fine and doesnt change it too much. I did only the brick on top. I did part of it, then was wondering what the heck I had done because it was permanant. No going back! I didnt like it, it had a pink tint to it because of the white wash and a red brick. My friend came over to.work out,.checked it out, then mentioned maybe a grey color? Perfect! I had some grey left over from my room. So I got to work. So much better! I am still not completely done. But i love the look so far! We also took down the awful.horizontal blinds on the sliding glass and put up curtians. What a difference! I love it! Juan also got into it and painted the wall that we never got around to where the sliding door is. Since we have moved in, we had multiple color swartches painted on the wall. Those are gone now! yah!! Slowly were making progress!
