Valentines Day

I tried to make this week fun for the kids. I always go back and forth or whether or not to spend money on holidays and usually go the no.spending route. I wanted to do.something more special and memorable since Keenan is starting to understand and remember things. So I took thier pictures, that they hated doing.and.bribery was used for Keenan :) Whatever works right! And it was past Nikos nap time but I wanted to get them done. After taking pictures I used what i had bought at the dollar store to decorate a little in our dining area. Yesterday we cut out hearts and hung them by string from the ceiling above our table. Just a little festiveness! I had to go to walmart last night to pick up some food for our dinner.tonight. I left wondering
If it was worth buying it all since I.spent what we could have eaten out on. But after tonight it was totally.worth it! I marinated shrimp, and I.only make shrimp on occasion because i hate it. Well tonight I loved it!! It was delicious! I also had french bread, garlic mashed potatoes, and a salad with cranberries and feta cheese. Keenan even insisted on us making a toast and clinging our wine glasses with cranberry sparkling cider! Following dinner we ate chocholate covered strawberries and frosted sugar cookies! Everything was so great! I hope that I am making some fun memories for my kids that they can look back on.
Love was in the air all day! Keenan was able take valentinea day cards to school and Damon even got some from friends at school we went to pick up! I gave juan a card with.money in his lunch.box and he brought me home some Sees candy! Yummy!!
