Yard Projects

There seems to always be a project that were working on. It is so fun to see our home progressively turn around and start to really look nice! There is so much more that needs to be done, but I think we need to take a break and start saving money! While my parents went on a cruise for a week, we asked if my dad would bring his truck with a rototiller, wheelbarrow, and a few other things with big plans for the week! The weather had other plans. It was pouring rain for a lot of the week! I did get a chance to take a huge load of junk that we have had laying around to the landfill. I really hate having to pay to take our junk to be thrown away! City living problems :)

This area needed some much needed help! We have been focusing on the front yard because its what is noticeable. Juan had the idea to do a retaining wall on this corner. I didn't jump on board at first but then decided it was a good idea. So while we had the truck, we got the stones, bark dust, and fill dirt. All things we would not have been able to do. I also got plants and things.

We are really happy with the result! It looks so much better!

When we moved here, there were some old and dead rose bushes where the little trees are. I bought those trees as a separator of our property. This will eventually all be grass too. There was a rock garden and little bushed that we took out too. So much work is going into this house! But we have been here for a year and a half, and our value has gone up a lot!! So that is good news for us!
