Here we are once again inpatient at a hospital. This time we are at Shriners and we have a great view! We are overlooking all of Portland. Helps to have something interesting to look at.
Damon had a major hip surgery where they cut and relocated things that have been out of place due to his CP. This will not be the last of these because he is so young. Poor guy. Surgery took about 6 hours so there was a lot of waiting time. I started a tv series called Revenge, read, and took a nap. They had to put a plate in his left side and so in a year he will have another surgery to remove that. We are supposed to be here for about 4 days. He has done so well. Better then I expected. He did wake up every couple hours last night when they would come in and rotate him but went right back to sleep if I layed there a bit with him. At the moment he is having lots of muscle spasms that are causing him lots of pain. Right as he drifts off to sleep another one comes ans startles him and cries in pain. I was laying right by him but he was still hurting and crying so I finally got down and its so sad because usually I can console him on just about anything. But where he cant bend his legs and he needs to stay straight its a little difficult. He has had to do with just my head next to his.
The boys have been taken care of wonderfully by the babysitter/daycare by a woman in ourward. I dont have to worry about them when they are with her. Juan has continued to work because there is no need for him to take off work. This is just a normal thing for us. He usually works half days on Fridays so he will get the boys after and then come switch places with me tonight since I have a haircut in the morning. It will be a nice break.
